Design
Before taking up web design I was a painter and sculptor, showing and selling work in California galleries where I lived at the time after earning my MFA in graduate school. When I started designing websites in 1997, I found that I took to it naturally and really enjoyed doing it. To me it offers many of the same formal challenges that I faced as a painter, while at the same time presenting other business and communication challenges that I have come to look forward to.
I begin every design project by finding out as much as possible about the needs and goals of the client and I make that the basis for the design decisions I make. While this means that I have less of a signature style than other designers might have, it helps me to deliver websites that meet my client’s expectations and achieve their goals.
Feel free to browse through my portfolio and view some of my work from recent years. Please contact me if you are looking for something in particular that you don’t see. I’ve been at this a long time now and chances are I’ve done something like it in the past.
